Feba works with a range of mission partners in Yemen to broadcast across the Arabian Peninsula. The ongoing war, humanitarian crisis and COVID-19 continue to impact Yemeni citizens across the country. As well as producing programmes that teach about the Christian faith, Feba’s mission partners also provide practical advice that helps listeners to consider social and spiritual change.

SUNDAY 22nd May

The civil war in Yemen has gone on for seven years and, according to the UN, has produced the largest humanitarian crisis in the world with 24.1 million people needing aid and protection. Since the start of the year, this humanitarian disaster has intensified with an escalation in the conflict, further economic decline and the continuing rapid spread of COVID-19. Please pray for the war to end and the health of the country to improve.

MONDAY 23rd May

Many in Yemen are starving without food and medicines because the main ports and transportation routes have been severely affected or blocked by the conflict. Please pray that God will make a way where there appears to be no way for aid to reach those in greatest need at this time. (Psalm 46:1)

TUESDAY 24th May

'Reality Church' is a regular broadcast that models Christian fellowship for local people in Yemeni Arabic. Please pray for the team responsible for this innovative programme and ask for continued inspiration so that nothing would obstruct their efforts to share the Good News of Jesus in this troubled, war-torn land.

WEDNESDAY 25th May

We rejoice that the follow-up team at Feba's partner, the Yemen Radio Ministry, has had conversations with over 5000 individuals in the last year. 20 new believers have been confirmed with the team and 150 to 200 recorded through the local church. Please pray for all these new believers that they might grow in their faith and become witnesses to all that Jesus has done in their lives. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

THURSDAY 26th May

Many believers in Yemen face death threats for standing up for Jesus and sharing their faith with others. Please pray for protection and courage for all those facing the cost of following Jesus in this hostile land. May they draw strength and spiritual nourishment from listening to popular programmes, including 'Hot Issues' – a live broadcast every Thursday and 'Study the Book with your family'.

FRIDAY 27th May

We have been asked to pray especially for the mother of a listener known as K, as she is very sick with cancer. Ask for God to restore and heal her in Jesus' Name. (Psalm 30:2)

SATURDAY 28th May

Please remember the children caught up in the conflict in Yemen. It's estimated there are 11.1 million children at risk, including 2.3 million under five who are suffering from acute malnutrition and a severe lack of education. Pray for opportunities for Yemeni children to hear about Jesus and experience God's unending love and care for each one of them. (Matthew 19:14)

SUNDAY 29th May

The Muhammasheen is a marginalised group regarded by many in Yemeni society as 'untouchables'. They live in the poorest slums and suffer from social isolation, discrimination, harassment and violence. The Yemen broadcast production team is currently trying to reach out to the Muhammasheen through radio and a Facebook campaign. Please pray that many in this community will hear these words of hope and come to accept how we are all born equal in God's eyes.

MONDAY 30th May

Please pray for God to call a trusted and respected person from the Muhammasheen who will be able to reach their own people for Christ through this ground-breaking project. Pray that God will guide and lead them to the team, prompted by the programmes and Facebook campaign reaching out to them and that the Spirit will remove any sense of fear or hesitation.

TUEDAY 31st May

One of the challenges facing Feba's partner ministering across Yemen is to convince Yemeni believers to welcome the Muhammasheen as their brothers and sisters in Christ. For many, this will be a case of changing a deeply ingrained culture of hatred towards a segment of Yemeni society that has been despised for generations. Please pray that Christ's love will break down barriers and show that we are indeed all 'one in Christ Jesus'. (Galatians 3:28)
