Get Involved Prayers This Week in Prayer: North East Africa North East Africa (NEA) encompasses Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia. It’s a challenging region in so many ways. Over the next seven days we have been asked to pray for our partner project that is reaching out to rural farmers via talk radio. SUNDAY 6th June Praise God for the opportunity he has given to Feba's partners in NEA to share the message of the gospel among the unreached Sparrow* people who are 99% Muslims. Pray for ears and hearts to be opened to hear God's extraordinary message of love and salvation that is freely available for all who put their faith and trust in Jesus. MONDAY 7th June We thank God that since the team started broadcasting on shortwave radio and distributing audio messages on micro SD cards, over 100 house churches have been established. Please pray for the team as they continue to broadcast seven days a week on shortwave radio while also distributing gospel-focused audio messages on micro SD cards. TUESDAY 8th June Most of the believers among the Sparrow people do not have the freedom to attend church and worship God openly. Some are pushed away and rejected by their families and communities. Please pray for God's protection and strength for these believers that they will live as salt and light-reflecting the love of Jesus with all those they encounter. WEDNESDAY 9th June The Sparrow people number more than 1.5 million. Many are born into Muslim families and have no freedom of choice when it comes to matters of faith and belief. Please pray for all those involved in the Sparrow project who are working under extremely challenging circumstances. May they see fruit coming from their radio ministry with more people from the Sparrow community coming to know Jesus and experiencing life to the full (John 10:10). Please do join us online at 7pm this evening as we pray with our partner engaged in ministry to Yemen, and with fellow Feba supporters from across the UK and beyond. Visit www.feba.org.uk/prayermeeting for full details of how to take part. THURSDAY 10th June The father of one of the producers on the Sparrow project died recently. While he heard the gospel many times, he never put his faith in Jesus as far as his family are aware. Please pray for the family at this sad and difficult time and ask God to comfort them and surround them with His peace in the midst of their grief. FRIDAY 11th June We thank God for the recent rain that has watered the land belonging to the Sparrow people. While people are rejoicing that God has sent them rain, there are also warnings of severe flooding on the way. Please pray that God will be 'enthroned over the flood' (Psalm 29:10) and no harm will come to the land and livelihoods of the Sparrow people. SATURDAY 12th June Please pray for God's peace, justice and stability across the region. Recent tribal and religious conflicts in different areas have displaced many people and left them without homes or any means of support. Pray that God’s peace will reign among the Sparrow people and spread out across the whole region, while remembering these words in Amos 5:24: 'But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!' * For the sake of security, some of the real names of people, projects or programmes have been changed or omitted.
