Get Involved Prayers This Week in Prayer: Mozambique Radio Wimbe is helping to bring lasting, positive change in the communities in Pemba, Mozambique. The radio station is supplementing its Bible teaching radio programmes with Bible study groups using Discovery Bible Study (DBS) materials. SUNDAY 11th April Please pray for the Holy Spirit to anoint all the radio programmes and Bible studies that are reaching communities around Pemba. May listeners hear God speaking directly into their lives and families through the power of His Word. MONDAY 12th April The Mwani are the least-reached people in the northern province of Cabo Delgado. Please pray for opportunities to connect with these people via radio broadcasts and missionary outreaches to their villages. TUESDAY 13th April Please pray for Sonia dos Danto who is part of the faithful team working for Radio Wimbe. Sonia contracted COVID-19 recently and is currently very ill at home. May God protect her family and restore her to full health in the name of Jesus. WEDNESDAY 14th April Since last year, there have been a number of severe outbreaks of cholera in the province of Cabo Delgado. Cholera is typically spread via infected water supplies, especially during the rainy season. Malnourished children and those living with HIV are particularly at risk of death. Even among healthy adults, cholera can be fatal within a matter of hours. Please pray for God's protection and the provision of clean water in the most affected areas at this time. THURSDAY 15th April Please pray for the ongoing negotiations to secure a full broadcasting license for Radio Wimbe. Ask God for wisdom and the resources required to complete this application and ensure the gospel can continue to be broadcast without any hindrances in northern Mozambique. FRIDAY 16th April Radio Wimbe currently shares its radio antenna with other broadcasters. With plans to expand their ministry, please pray that the planned equipment upgrades will be successful. SATURDAY 17th April Fighting between government forces and the ISIS-linked militant group, Ahlu Sunnah Wa-Jamaa, in the province of Cabo Delgado has displaced more than 500,000 people in the last year and caused a humanitarian crisis. While there has been a temporary easing of fighting in recent days, please pray for God's peace and an end to this conflict once and for all.
