This week we will be praying for a project focused on reaching a Central Asian Tribal Group. Serving this hard-to-reach group, our partner is broadcasting culturally relevant programmes addressing topics such as family, health, faith and discipleship. In a region that is almost exclusively Muslim, engaging with Christians is dangerous. Nonetheless, listeners are contacting our ministry partner every day to ask more about the good news of Jesus.

THURSDAY 1st December

Praise God for keeping the team safe and well during some very challenging times in recent months. We also thank God for opening up new doors for ministry, including the opportunity to collaborate on a scripture translation project in the local dialect. Please pray for the team as they produce new material for daily broadcasts and create audio visuals that help to make the gospel come alive for this tribal group. Pray also for God's hand of protection over the team as they continue to face many daily spiritual battles. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

FRIDAY 2nd December

Earlier this year, two team members and their families received death threats. Overnight they had to leave their homes in the city and relocate to a safe place in the country. Since then, God has not only kept them safe, but He has also provided them with opportunities and resources to settle in another city and continue with their ministries. Please continue to pray for God's protection and safekeeping over these team members and their families. (1 Peter 3:13-16)

SATURDAY 3rd December

The team is delighted with their new second studio which is providing greater flexibility and a safe place to bring in additional people, such as professional actors, that are needed for dubbing films or for audio projects that require more voices than are currently available within the team. Please pray for the upcoming dubbing and training for the Jesus film (JF) project. The JF trainers have received their visas, which is a huge answer to prayer. Please pray that their time training the team and overseeing the dubbing of the Jesus film into the local language will be fruitful and encouraging.

SUNDAY 4th December

One of the follow-up team members has recently moved with his family to a country in the West. He wants to continue working with the team, especially as his follow-up role is vital with the Central Asian Tribal Group. Please pray that everything will work out well for him and his family so that he will soon be able to restart his work with the team in Central Asia. (Deuteronomy 28:3)

Resources for the second of our 'Waiting in hope' Advent reflections are available online from today - featuring the work in Ukraine. Please click here to find the material, including a short video.

MONDAY 5th December

We praise God for the huge increase in people responding to the daily programmes on medium and shortwave radio. Please pray for the listeners, especially those who have suffered the loss of homes, livelihoods and family members in the wake of recent widespread flooding. Also please pray for listeners who are facing serious security threats, human rights abuses and harsh restrictions from those in authority in the region. (2 Corinthians 4:8-12)

TUESDAY 6th December

Feba's partner in Central Asia is blessed with a remarkably skilled and dedicated IT team that is continually updating and building new websites and creating innovative Apps to reach their target audiences. Please pray for the IT team, that God will bless them with His love, patience and creativity so they can finish redesigning the rest of their websites and complete the latest App development. Pray also for all the exciting new IT projects in the pipeline.

WEDNESDAY 7th December

Our partner writes, "We would still like to see our second production team get established. Yet, despite much work we continue to face obstacles that block the launch of this team. It seems that no sooner do we clear one obstacle than another appears". Please pray that God will remove all these obstacles that are preventing this new team from getting established. May they experience victory over all these frustrations and setbacks in Jesus' name. (1 John 5:4)

Please join us at our online prayer meeting this evening where we will hear directly from our Feba partner in Egypt. For full details see www.feba.org.uk/prayermeeting

THURSDAY 8th December

The team is receiving encouraging responses, particularly from people using their audio-visual and print materials. We praise God for the different ways He is using this ministry to change lives. Please pray for the team’s physical security as they travel each day between their home and workplace. Sadly, no one knows who they can trust in their neighbourhoods. Team members are aware their movements are being monitored all the time. Pray also for security in the workplace. The team is on constant alert for unannounced visits from the authorities. (Psalm 34:7)

FRIDAY 9th December

Please pray for many families in the region that are facing severe financial difficulties and are struggling to meet even their most basic needs at this time. In the midst of political unrest, please pray for justice and stability to be administered across the region. (Micah 6:8)

SATURDAY 10th December

The new government is making it very difficult for a number of Christian organisations and workers to continue living and working in the region. Please pray that God will make a way for Christian workers to keep supporting local people without fear or hindrance while witnessing to the power of the gospel.
