This week we will be praying for a project focused on reaching a Central Asian Tribal Group. Serving this difficult to reach group, our partner project is broadcasting culturally relevant programmes addressing topics such as family, health, evangelism and discipleship. In a region that is predominantly Muslim, engaging with Christians is dangerous. Nonetheless, listeners are contacting our ministry partner every day to ask more about the good news of Jesus.

SUNDAY 10th July

In recent months, some of the team members and their families have faced threats to their personal security, along with bereavement and illness. In the face of all these setbacks, we thank God for the way He has enabled the team to keep going and adapt using different ways to produce their daily programming. Please pray for God's protection and wellbeing over every team member and their families at this time. (Romans 8:28)

MONDAY 11th July

It is clear from interaction with listeners that the Gospel-focused programmes are helping people among this Central Asian tribal group to put their faith and trust in Jesus. Please pray for the team as they decide which biblical themes to work on and then how best to shape the material, so it speaks directly to the hearts of listeners in this unreached tribal group. (2 Timothy 3:16)

TUESDAY 12th July

The follow-up team has been working faithfully to keep in contact with hundreds of listeners every month. As the number of callers continues to increase, the workload has become heavier and more demanding. Please ask God to send more men and women that are urgently needed to be trained to take on this vital follow-up role.

WEDNESDAY 13th July

Over six thousand calls have been made so far this year with almost one thousand listeners. Please pray that on every call, God will give the team the right words to say, and for those who don’t yet know Christ, they will have ears to hear what is being said. (Matthew 11:15)

THURSDAY 14th July

Recent changes in the region, including the closure of girls’ schools in some areas, have led to many more women and girls being confined to their homes. Please pray they will be guided by the Holy Spirit to discover the series of radio programmes that have been specially developed for a female audience. Pray that those who are able, will feel encouraged to use their phone to speak to a member of the team and discover how they can become a follower of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 16:11)

FRIDAY 15th July

Over the past 18-months the team has been archiving past content and making current programming available for anyone who uses a smartphone rather than a radio. Please pray for the launch of a new website that will be making all the programmes available to listen to as podcasts. Ask God to use these podcasts as seeds that will help people to grow in their faith and pass on what they have learned to others. (Philippians 4:9)

SATURDAY 16th July

Praise God for the way these broadcasts provide a 'church-in-the-home' for people who feel isolated and have no other fellowship with Christians. As more people come to know Him, please pray that believers will start to find and connect with each other through the power of the Holy Spirit. The team in Central Asia would like to thank you for your prayers and reassure you that they are making a big difference. (Philippians 1:3-6)

Please pray for Victor Akhterov, who oversees the ministry in both Russia and Ukraine, who will be flying into the UK briefly over the weekend. Pray for safety and encouragement as he meets with Bob and other Feba staff members.
