Get Involved Prayers This Week in prayer: Bangladesh RMB, Feba UK’s partner in Bangladesh, is mainly broadcasting to a Muslim population. Using shortwave radio, the programmes support those exploring the Christian faith, along with believers in rural parts of the country. The broadcasts also demonstrate faith in action by addressing health and social issues. SUNDAY 9th August Severe flooding is seriously affecting the top of the northern part of Bangladesh where most of RMB’s listeners are living. Many have lost their crops and houses, and are therefore struggling financially. Please pray that emergency help and long-term relief will reach them very soon. MONDAY 10th August RMB has recently restarted its Disciple Making Movement (DMM) training in rural areas in the north of the country. Please pray for God’s protection over the field follow-up team as they travel to visit the DMM group to provide training, resources and encouragement. TUESDAY 11th August Please pray for the radio listener's conference taking place in August. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this will be the first time a listener’s conference has been able to convene this year. Pray that many people will be motivated to come and build each other up in their faith while joining in discussion groups and enjoying fellowship together. WEDNESDAY 12th August Deaths caused by Covid-19 are continuing to increase in Bangladesh. A number of people have been arrested for spreading false information about the virus. Please pray that the life-saving health information being broadcast by RMB will be trusted and shared widely by listeners with their families and local communities. THURSDAY 13th August Please pray for the security and protection of new believers like Mahamuder who are facing persecution for sharing their faith. At a recent prayer meeting, before the outbreak of Covid-19, a group suddenly burst in and warned them not to invite any anyone from his village to prayer meetings. Mahamuder is fearful of visiting other believers after this incident and feels his life is in danger. FRIDAY 14th August A senior member of the RMB team struggles with poor health following several strokes. Please pray for him as he prepares for an appointment with his cardiologist on 18th August. “I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26), and “‘I will restore you to health and heal your wounds’, declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 30:17). SATURDAY 15th August Many people have been affected by flooding in rural Bangladesh this summer. Please pray for them as they continue to rebuild their lives; pray especially for new believers who have struggled to provide for themselves now they are facing rejection and exclusion for their faith from their communities.
