Stories Open Mic Radio Wimbe: Sharing the message of God’s peace and hope Please donate now to support the sharing of the truth of Jesus Christ to communities being targeted by insurgent groups in the Pemba region of Mozambique. In the Cabo Delgado province of Mozambique, where the population is largely Muslim, there is a real threat of Islamic insurgency. Just two months ago, barely 90 miles North of Pemba, an FEBC radio station was ransacked by Al-Shabaab. Thankfully, the station staff and volunteers survived because they fled into the woods. Although the door remains open in this region for now, things may well change in the future. That is why we want to do all we can to enable the Radio Wimbe team to be a beacon of God’s love in these uncertain times – whilst they still can. We will keep sharing messages of God’s peace and hope through our radio programmes no matter what. We are seeing our labour bear fruit as growing numbers of local people are responding to the good news of Jesus. By supporting Radio Wimbe, you will be making sure that the only community station serving the three mostly Muslim ethnic communities - the Makonde, Mwani and Makua - stays on-air. Together, through our prayers and generosity, we can help ensure that Christian radio ministry continues to serve some of those in greatest need. And, right now Radio Wimbe in Pemba, Mozambique, needs our help. Will you help Radio Wimbe to share messages of God's hope by giving to Feba today? At this time of increased threat from militant groups like Al-Shabaab, local people in Pemba need to know the truth of Jesus; this radio ministry is one of the most effective means to share His good news. Please donate now to support the sharing of the truth of Jesus Christ to communities being targeted by insurgent groups in the Pemba region of Mozambique. * For the sake of security, some of the real names of people, projects or programmes have been changed or omitted.
