Our partners are faithfully sowing and watering gospel seeds through their ministries, but how are they watering their own faith? We spoke to them to find out...

You might have heard us say that prayer underpins all we do at Feba UK, and we mean it! Prayer is a wonderful gift that allows us to communicate with our heavenly Father and the Bible is full of wisdom on this topic. It tells us to replace anxiety with prayer and thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6), to continue steadfastly in prayer (Colossians 4:2) and to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Building this into a daily practice, the Feba UK staff team meets each weekday at 11am for half an hour to pray. We pray for our partners, our day-to-day work, things going on in our lives, the wider world and we also pray for you, our wonderful supporters.

Walking with God daily

This daily rhythm of prayer is something we share with our partners. Dawit*, our Northeast Africa Coordinator, and his team work in a region where proclaiming the gospel is often met with hostility and persecution. In this challenging harvest field, focusing on growing and nurturing their own faith is vital, as he explains;

As we become disciples of Jesus Christ, that's where we can bring great messages to others. So, [discipleship] needs to begin in our lives first. In our office we spend time with God daily.

"We have a devotion for 30 minutes with all staff members, then read and discuss a chapter from the Bible because God speaks through His word. We pray about our audience, our family, our work, and pray for His guidance, wisdom and understanding.”

Feba UK staff and partner, including members of the Afno FM team, met and prayed together at Feba's partner conference in Oct 2025.

Connected in prayer

4,000 miles away from Dawit, our partner in Nepal is also deeply rooted in prayer. Vijay, Afno FM’s Coordinator, shares what prayer looks like in his life:

We never begin our day without prayer. Every day, my family pray at 6:30am and 7:00pm using The Word for Today devotional booklet in Nepali.

Like Feba UK and Dawit’s team, Vijay has also built prayer into Afno FM’s work. “In our office we have prayer time from 9:00 to 9:30 in the morning. Each day a different person leads the prayer. We also prepare monthly prayer points and especially pray for our partners—their ministry, work, family, and financial needs.”

Join Feba's prayer rhythm

Although many miles separate us, what a joy to know that our faith, anchored in prayer, brings us together.

This week, why not join us in setting aside 30 minutes in the morning to pray - perhaps at 11am as the Feba UK team meets.

If you need some prayer fuel, take a look at Prayer Focus, our monthly prayer resource.

Meet and pray with our partners

On the first Wednesday of every month we meet online at 7pm with one of our partners, like Dawit and Vijay, to hear stories of transformation and to pray for them. We'd love you to join us!

Thank you for being part of Feba’s prayer life, lifting up our partners and our ministry, in the same way we and our partners pray for you. Your prayers make a difference and are a huge blessing, as our partner Anil, leads the Gaweylon ministry to Tibetan people shares:

We are grateful and thankful for faithful people who pray for and encourage us. Thank you, Feba Family, for your support and prayers.
