Just as Jesus cared for the whole person – body, mind and soul – our project partners in Nepal follow His example by addressing a wide range of issues with holistic solutions. Our partner radio stations at Afno FM, serve communities in Okhaldhunga (east Nepal) and Dadeldhura (west Nepal) sharing the good news and the personal transformation that only Jesus can bring.

SUNDAY 18th July

You may have heard in the news recently about the so-called 'Nepal COVID variant' which scientists believe is a mutation of the Delta variant, first identified in India. In a country with limited resources, the Nepali health care system is already at breaking point. Please pray for all those affected and most vulnerable to the spread of this virus. A number of staff members at Afno FM have the virus and have asked specifically for our prayers at this difficult time.

MONDAY 19th July

We praise God today that the station at Dadeldhura has recently celebrated its 13th anniversary of being on air. We lift up all those who have heard the Good news of Jesus through the programmes that have been shared, may they continue to be blessed. Pray too that many more will hear and discover Jesus for themselves.

TUESDAY 20th July

With all the schools and colleges closed because of the pandemic, many public exams have been postponed until further notice. Please pray for all the young people in Nepal who are facing a very uncertain future. May they find comfort and hope from listening to educationally enriching and spiritually uplifting programmes on Afno FM.

As in India, there is a desperate shortage of oxygen to support patients suffering with COVID-19. Please pray for the teams at Afno FM based in mission hospitals in the country. The teams are busier than ever serving the community and sharing the hope of the gospel over the airwaves.

THURSDAY 22nd July

There are many reports of people in both the cities and rural areas suffering with depression. Many have committed suicide in the wake of the pandemic. Please pray for all those involved in producing programmes that specifically address depression and how to overcome fear through faith in Jesus Christ.

FRIDAY 23rd July

Praise God that the new staff team at Afno FM station in Dadeldhura have all settled in and are doing very well. Please pray God's blessing on their recent promotional campaign and new programme schedule. Please also pray for their safety as two members of staff are still recovering from COVID-19.

SATURDAY 24th July

The team working in Okhaldhunga urgently needs a backup generator as the previous one is now beyond repair due to age and no spare parts available. Please pray for God's provision both in Okhaldhunga and also in Chitwan where there are plans to launch a new radio station once lockdown is over.
