Radio Wimbe is helping to bring lasting, positive change in the communities in Pemba, Mozambique. The radio station is supplementing its Bible teaching radio programmes with Bible study groups using Discovery Bible Study materials.

MONDAY 1st June

Please pray for the mission and ministry of Radio Wimbe that many people would come to faith in Christ through listening to testimonies and participating in regular Bible studies on the radio.

TUESDAY 2nd June

Radio Wimbe is recording Bible study programmes to send to other community radio stations in Cabo Delgado Province – the northernmost province of Mozambique. Praise God for this opportunity to share the Gospel through radio and to start up new Discovery Bible Study groups. Please pray that these programmes will be well received and many listeners will come to put their faith and trust in Jesus.

WEDNESDAY 3rd June

With the number of cases of Covid-19 starting to rise in Mozambique and the first death reported on 25th May of a 13-year-old boy in Nampula province, please pray for the doctors, nurses and all those involved in trying to treat and contain the spread of the virus in one of the world’s poorest nations.

THURSDAY 4th June

Please pray for local church leaders and those leading the Bible study groups organised by Radio Wimbe that God would give them wisdom on how best to continue their ministry in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. May leaders find hope and encouragement in the midst of this crisis as many people are becoming more open and willing to pray and hear the good news of Jesus.

FRIDAY 5th June

The Governor of the district of Palma has decreed that community radio cannot broadcast religious programmes for fear of creating misunderstanding between the Christian and Muslim population. Please pray for this deadlock to be broken as the team at Radio Wimbe knows first-hand how community radio provides one of the best ways to resolve conflict and division, especially when people come to a living faith in Christ.

SATURDAY 6th June

Many people are suffering with fear, anxiety and a lack of reliable information during this Covid-19 pandemic. Please pray for all those involved in supporting and comforting listeners who call Radio Wimbe using these words in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 – ‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ‘.
