Today, join us as we take some time to pause and pray for our partner, Voice of Egypt, using the 24/7 Prayer model of P R A Y – pause, rejoice, ask, say yes.

Pause

First let’s take time to pause, stilling our hearts and asking God to make us aware of His presence now.

Rejoice

Rejoicing is a wonderful way to help us fix our eyes of the Lord. As we enter into prayer, let’s read the start of Psalm 145 together:

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

What are you thankful for today? Take some time to turn your gratitude into a prayer of praise now.

Ask

One thing I am thankful for is that, through prayer, we can ask God for help and guidance, bringing our requests to Him.

Today we are praying for Voice of Egypt, who are using internet radio and social media to broadcast the love of Jesus to young people in a nation that has the largest Muslim population in the Arab world.

This year, the team are looking to create a new website and mobile app and to strengthen their follow-up and discipleship work. Please pray that they would know God’s guidance in each step, and that through this time of growth the Lord would reach lots more listeners.

Please also pray for Omar*, who is a regular listener in touch with the Voice of Egypt team who holds strong views about the Christian faith. Pray that God would give the team wisdom as they speak with him, and that God’s would reveal his love and truth to Omar.

Say Yes

As we end this time of prayer together, what has God been highlighting to you? Take this time to say yes to Him, welcoming His love, His plans and His presence into your day.

Father, thank you that you are with us always. Be with our brothers and sisters in Egypt today. Help us to understand and know more of your love, and to share your love with those around us. Amen
