Persecution, a lack of local believers, no access to Christian resources. These are just some of the barriers that can stop people from hearing about Jesus. But audio media is carrying God’s love into places where people can’t go.
Our partner, The Panamanian Project (code name due to security risks), is broadcasting into two nations in Central Asia where strict Islamic law means sharing the gospel face to face is almost impossible. However, through radio and social media they are reaching people with the message of Jesus.
Muhammad* began listening to the Panamanian broadcasts with his family and loved the dramatised stories from the Bible. Wanting to hear more he called the follow-up team. During the conversation the team member explained to Muhammad that he could download the Bible in his own language from the internet, but Muhammad explained that he didn’t have access to the internet.
Instead the team member shared God’s Word with him right there on the phone. They talked about the verses, and Muhammad asked questions about how he could pray. The team member ended the call by sharing that Jesus is our Saviour and the only way to God.
