“Ahraz* accepted Christ while listening to our radio station,” shares Paul, our Middle East Coordinator who works with Iraq FM. “He visited us in Baghdad, we gave him a Bible and prayed with him. He is now studying the word of God to grow in his faith.”

“But with this good news comes persecution. His wife noticed him reading his Bible at home. She confronted him, threatening to tell his family and to divorce him if he continues to follow Jesus.”

Despite opposition from those closest to him, Ahraz is not willing to give up his newfound faith. No longer able to read the Bible at home, watch this powerful video of Ahraz spending time in scripture at a local river.
