Listeners learn about and discuss important issues such as cholera prevention, empowering women and the Christian faith. MONDAY 1st May It is the ‘rainy season’ in Pemba but the rains were slow in coming and very heavy. Late rains means that seeds already sown may be damaged, affecting the harvest later in the year and the food security of the region. Please pray that future harvests have not been damaged and that the local population have access to the food they need to feed their families. TUESDAY 2nd May Away from Pemba, in the south of Mozambique, there has been flooding and some communities continue to deal with the aftermath of Cyclone Dineo. Please pray for them as families have lost their homes and crops, and there has been damage to the local infrastructure. WEDNESDAY 3rd May Give thanks that the land dispute involving Radio Wimbe has now been resolved and both parties are happy with the final negotiation. Please continue to pray for the restoration of relationship between the two parties. THURSDAY 4th May Please pray for the technology at Radio Wimbe as problems have caused interruptions to the transmissions. Pray that an effective solution can be found. FRIDAY 5th May Give thanks for the listeners. Pray that they would flourish as they share and work together for positive change in their community.
