Committed?

Refresh devotional book 6 This Marwari listener will have a Hindu background and is likely to be from the business community. Being baptised would have serious consequences, much would be at stake. It would be a very public event, being openly aligned with Christ and abandoning the old faith. Here is no secret believer. Everyone in the family, in the community, would know about this. They might feel let down, shamed, even betrayed. Relationships would be on the line and it certainly wouldn’t be good for business!

I’m sure this decision was not made lightly and it reflects the confidence the listener has in finding the true God. Such commitment is a challenge to me and makes me wonder how I can demonstrate my commitment even in small ways such as wearing a cross or icthus, or fasting for a single meal. In what ways could you demonstrate your commitment to our great God today?

Please pray:

  • For followers of Christ from a Hindu background that they can persevere through the discrimination they encounter.
  • That Hindu listeners to Feba programmes will contact the audience relations staff for follow up questions.
  • For programme producers to think of creative values-based programmes to lead people step-by-step into faith in Christ.
