Off the air in Zimbabwe

radio waves

As the election results in Zimbabwe continue to be contested, programmes from Feba Zimbabwe have not been allowed to return on air at the ZBC. Kurai Madzonga, National Director of Feba Zimbabwe says: “We are not yet back on air, but we have had a series of meetings with ZBC management.” Feba strives to promote peace and reconciliation in their programming.

The staff are not sitting idle; they are working on creative ways to get the programmes to the people. Kurai says: “We are preparing messages on cassette which we will distribute to commuter bus drivers for free. These will contain messages of hope plus contemporary music to suit listeners.” Feba staff members are also using this period of quietness to plan for new programmes.

Please pray:

  • For funding of the “free” cassette ministry to commuter bus drivers to play on their buses.
  • With the delay of election results, people are uncertain about tomorrow; they are still gripped with anxiety. Pray that they will see God’s peace that passes all understanding.
  • For peace to prevail in this nation as the election results are announced.
  • For Feba staff developing ideas for new programmes.
