Airport security is in a spin again after a terror suspect started a fire with a chemical laden explosive on U.S. Northwest Flight 253 (with 280 people onboard) on Christmas Day.
When you hear news like that, does it make you feel suspicious or upset with those from Muslim areas like Yemen? Feba’s Project Isa and the web event, Why Do You Fear Me?, (hosted by Feba’s friend, Carl Medearis) address those fears and how Jesus changes everything.
Project Isa
Muslim communities are found in many different places, not just those that regularly appear on our TV screens and the BBC News homepage. Hour after hour, day after day, Feba and our partners are broadcasting hope to communities to which the religion of Islam is central. Relationships are absolutely fundamental to people’s lives. In many Muslim communities nothing will happen without a relationship first developing between individuals. Often they are surprised when Christians want to be their friend, viewing them as enemies.
Feba establishes relationships with Muslim listeners, building bridges of friendship. This is a significant challenge through such a seemingly impersonal medium as radio. But the talent of our presenters and programme makers is to make radio a personal medium, making friends with the listener, and fostering a sense of trust. Project Isa is the umbrella we have created to bring together all the ministry we are engaged in with Muslim communities on short wave, FM and the internet.

Live Web Event, Why Do You Fear Me?
On January 28th, Governor David Beasley, Ted Dekker, and Carl Medearis will host an honest, unscripted conversation about America and the Middle East. They will not only discuss the vital issues, but provide real-life answers.
The event will be held in conjunction with the release of Ted and Carl’s new book, Tea with Hezbollah — Sitting at the Enemy’s Table, a powerful narrative which draws the West into a completely fresh understanding of those often called our enemies and the teaching that dares us to love them — a must-read for all who see the looming threat rising in the Middle East. David, Carl, and Ted each have a wealth of experience in the Middle East and will provide captivating insights into this confusing part of the world. Your imagination will be stirred, your heart moved, and your mind filled with new ways to positively interact with the Middle East.
Carl emailed us to say: "You can watch the web event ANY time after that day – you don’t have to watch it at 6:00pm Mountain Standard Time – you can download it and watch it whenever."
