"British flags were waving, feet stomping and in the end, national anthems being sung totally unsyncronised with the music over the stretch of water along the man-made lake," says Feba's Norman Brierley.

Norman, Pete Ellis and others were reporting from the Olympic Rowing events for 2K Plus International Sports Media. Norman continues: "The last event of the day brought an exciting finish with the Great Britain Men's Fours winning the Gold medal in a very tight finish with Australia. I happened to meet up with the former-rowing coach of two of the rowers, Julian Bewick. He told rower Steve Williams years ago that when he rows for Britain one day he would be there to witness it."

It is proving to be a very successful Olympics for the Great Britain team who are currently fourth in the overall medal table. They have already surpassed their Athens final medal tally with another seven days to go. Pete Ellis reports: "I watched some exciting qualifying heats of the rowing event where 10 out of the 12 GB boats competing made it through to the finals and 6 of those came away with a medal putting them top of the rowing medal table."

There was disappointment, however, for two of the teams who were hoping for Gold but had to settle for Silver. They included the Women’s Quadruple Skulls and the Men’s Eight which include Debbie Flood and Alex Partridge just two of the Christian athletes whose progress has been closely followed by the 2K Plus reporters over the years. British Rowing’s performance director David Tanner pointed out 20 minutes after the last race finished: "It's been a great week but I've just been telling my coaches that the next Olympiad started 20 minutes ago." Watch out London!
