Feba’s radio programmes broadcast into the Middle East during Ramadan include special features related to this Islamic holy month for their audience of Muslim and Christian listeners.

Programme presenters talk about fasting and prayer in Christianity, as many listeners want to know about these topics. Muslims strive to get closer to God during this month, so their emotions and feelings towards Islam increase, leading them to do good deeds and help the poor and needy. This is especially a good time for the programmes to talk about freedom of religion, accepting others, bridges between Islam and Christianity, forgiveness and peacemaking.

The programmes feature talks about salvation and how it is through faith, and that good works are the fruit of faith. The presenters explain how important it is to feel with others and help them when they are in need.

Muslims believe that their prayers during this month are accepted and answered by God. Programmes also feature talks about prayer and how to have a personal relationship with God. The presenters describe God's promises and how God really answers prayers.

Muslims believe that they should read all the Koran during Ramadan. The programme presenters talk about the Bible, the true Word of God, and explain to listeners that God's Word is not corrupted and that they can trust the Bible to lead them to God. They also explain how important it is to read God's Word daily as spiritual food as people eat food for their bodies every day.

Here are some listeners' responses:

  • Is there fasting in the Christian religion?
  • How should I pray? In which direction?
  • We are in Ramadan, the month of fasting. Do you fast with us?
  • This is a great month and I wish you could spend it with me as Muslims to enjoy this great worship.
  • We all believe in one God. The God of Jesus and Mohammad and all prophets.
  • May God accept our prayers and fasting.
