Building work on an FM station in Malawi, Africa, continues to make decent progress.
The roof is on and interior building is in progress thanks to a volunteer carpenter. Test transmissions are underway. The station has a deadline of going on-air in September. A South African volunteer carpenter has built and installed doors and shelving on-site. He also built sound boxes for the studios, and some furniture and fittings for the production and admin offices in the building.
A Feba Engineer says: “This month we are painting the walls, doing most of the electrical wiring, and installing some of the furniture. It's a hive of activity on the site these days. We have a deadline of going on-air in September—there's still a great deal of work to complete before then.”
