While continuing their regular Arabic broadcasts over short wave into the Middle East (started way back in 1971), the Feba Middle East team excitedly announces the launch of their own community FM radio station in Iraq. It went on air with its official licence this month. It is a Chrysolite based studio with a temporary mast, on air daily from 9am until 3pm.

As a community station, they broadcast local news and information — things of interest to the local majority community. They will acknowledge the ongoing serious and sometimes tragic events occurring in the region but also provide music and humour. Sometimes the focus is on appropriate social issues such as health or human interest stories… along with testimonies to God's love and faithfulness.

Other programmes are planned around drama and interactive discussion. There’s plenty of material on positive and negative subjects, such as generosity, revenge, jealousy, looking down on women — all debated through a Christian worldview.
