To recognise the importance of strong families, UK National Family Week is 25-31 May. At Feba UK we want to take time out this week to pray for our Feba staff family as well as pray for our listeners who tune in to our family-oriented radio programmes throughout the Feba world.
Have you not heard of National Family Week? Well, even in its first year, the schedule is packed with events, activities and competitions across the country to bring families together. Over 150 charities, community groups, schools, sporting and faith networks are coming together to celebrate family life. Look around for the Family Week logo at many places across town from kid-friendly workshops at the Leisure Centre, to food vouchers at Pizza Hut and special picnic ideas at Sainsbury’s. Visit www.nationalfamilyweek.co.uk/ to find activities taking place near you.
Prayer for Feba UK family
We at Feba praise God and are so thankful for our staff members, many located in Worthing with others serving in the field in Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. We give God the praise for:
- Development Engineer Graham in Africa and his wife Jean who welcomed the birth of their daughter Bernice last week. They are also enjoying a family visit from Graham's parents through the beginning of June.
- Development Director for South Asia Sean and his wife Sarah who are on an extended deputation tour to speak with churches but also to spend quality time with their family in the UK and Canada.
- Worthing Office Receptionist Jenny who has happily returned to work after recovering from hip replacement surgery and other medical concerns.
- Principal Audio Engineer Charles who is honouring the 6th anniversary of his son Philip's kidney transplant, giving thanks for his good health and praying for that to continue. Please also pray for his wife Rebekka and younger son who have the same underlying condition for their kidneys to keep working as long as possible.
- Mary, wife of Development Director Peter, who is recovering well from surgery to remove a tumour from her colon.
We lift up these prayers for:
- Human Resources Officer Jacqui who will soon be attending a 10-week course on post-abortion counselling.
- Chief Executive Jonathan and his family as they get ready to move to Worthing together and settle into a new school, new church and meet new friends.
- Assistant Director Mark and his wife Rose who are planning a trip to see their grandchildren (after two years) that Feba work may coincide with a September trip to southern Africa. They are also searching for the right UK house at the right price, to purchase.
- Supporter Relations Administrator Felicity as she retires from Feba in June after 12 years of faithful service.
