“Hi, I’m William Mateer, the new Feba Representative for Ireland. I’m looking forward to meeting many people right across the length and breadth of Ireland.Quite a lot of folk don’t really know much about Feba. It’s my job now to tell them about Feba and the work that Feba is doing in the rest of the world.”

William has hit the ground running as he joined Feba on 27 May. He made his first trip to the Feba UK office in Worthing during the first week of June. He will begin speaking at church meetings sometime after the summer holidays.

Until his call to work for Feba, William had been running his own professional photography business for the past 13 years. He also is a qualified compositor/print designer and worked in the Post Office for sixteen years.

More recently William has been actively seeking God’s plan for his life and felt that God wanted him to give up the photography business and work directly in his service. Whilst out working part-time for a market research company he was getting no where fast and came home, and got down on his knees. He prayed earnestly that God would get someone to speak to him, email him, phone him or physically give him a job that God wanted him to do in his service within the next week.

The very next day a very reserved and quiet retired member of his own congregation spoke to him following the Palm Sunday evening service saying: “She had something for him.” To his amazement she pulled out of her handbag the advertisement for the Feba Ireland Rep job.

With God’s help and guidance William and his wife Rosemary are looking forward to this new exciting chapter of their lives and service to God.
