Feba UK restructuring to sharpen ministry focus

The Feba UK board has approved a recommendation to slim down the team in Worthing. This re-organises the Worthing Office into 4 departments: International Ministry, Ministry Development, Support Development and Operations.

In the past year, in our Strategic Ministry Plan, we have re-stated our focus on the hard-to-reach peoples of the world and on cutting edge media ministry. We have recently turned our attention to the structure and work of the Worthing Office. We are reshaping so that we can even more effectively support our life-changing ministry to Africa, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East.

This process was led by Jonathan Frank, our Chief Executive, and undergirded by prayer. It has been influenced by the Strategic Ministry Plan, a series of strategic reviews commissioned by Jonathan and conducted by staff teams, and both individual and group discussions between Jonathan, staff members and the board.

International Ministry, led by Mark Taylor, has the task of ensuring the delivery of our prime objective to “engage hard-to-reach people, delivering cutting edge content through the most appropriate media”. He will be supported by our 5 Development Directors together with a reduced engineering section in Worthing. They will focus on the management of our short wave broadcasts, and consultancy and support to both Feba and our partner projects worldwide.

Ministry Development, led by Jon Hargreaves, works with our programming staff around the world, ensuring we maintain and develop the right skills and talent. His role includes training, exploring new opportunities and starting new ministry.

Support Development, led by Jonathan Frank, provides ministry information and plans to stimulate greater financial giving and prayer, with an aim of generously resourcing the international ministry of Feba.

Operations, led by Val Rollins, supports all of Feba UK’s operational and administrative needs. This includes financial management, receipting and reporting, office services and IT services.

In accepting this plan, some difficult decisions have been made, including reducing the team in Worthing to 22 posts from the current 32.

We appreciate your prayers and your commitment to Feba. Please do continue to keep the ministry, our listeners and the staff team in your prayers.

In particular, we now have a period of change in how people work together and how our operations run. Please pray for grace, wisdom and a deep sense of hope and trust in God’s leading as we go through a very busy and challenging few months.
