Feba UK Supporters' Website
At Feba we are committed to protecting and safeguarding your online privacy while you use this website. Although large parts of this site are free to use anonymously, we may require personal information from you in order for you to subscribe to further updates, make requests for additional information or make a donation to us.
The rest of this document will outline what information we may ask for and how we treat the data collected.
What information we collect
- Information about your visit. We will collect basic information about our computer, browsing software, geographical location, referral source, length of visit and navigation path around our site. All this information is anonymous and is used purely to enhance our services and give you a better website experience.
- Information to communicate with you. If you subscribe to any of our services, such as the Email Bulletin, we may ask for your name, postal address, email address and other contact information to enable us to provide this service to you.
- Information about online donations. We will ask you for your contact information, such as postal address, email address and phone number. We will use this information to keep you in touch with what is going on at Feba. You will also be asked for billing and banking information but Feba will not store this information. Please refer to PayPal for their privacy statement.
- Information about anonymous donations. Although it is possible to donate to Feba anonymously, our donation partner (PayPal) will ask for your contact and billing information in order to process the transaction. Please refer to PayPal’s privacy policy for further details. In the case of an anonymous transaction, Feba will not receive any details from PayPal, other than the amount you donate.
- Information you send us. If you choose to contact Feba through any form on the website, we will collect any information you send us.
How we protect your information
Feba endeavours to protect your personal information at all times, and undertakes all reasonable technical procedures to secure and protect your information and to ensure it is not altered or misused.
During an online donation all information entered on Feba’s website is encrypted by a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) before your browser sends it to us, so your information is fully encoded during transit to our servers. This information is then passed on to PayPal’s processing server with the same high level of encryption. Feba does not store any billing or payment information.
If you use a PayPal account, your username and password will be sent via our servers to PayPal in the same secure way. Again Feba will not store this information.
We will not sell or trade your personal information to any person or third party. We may use your information within Feba and our partner organisations to provide you with a better service and to fulfil our obligation to you.
We may pass on your information to regulatory authorities where we are required to do so.
We will not pass on your information to third parties, without your prior consent. See below, Third parties and outsourced services.
Cookies
We may use Cookies to track your use of our website in order to provide you with a better service. You may optionally turn off Cookies in your browser’s preference settings.
Third parties and outsourced services
Feba currently outsources some of its services to third parties in order to facilitate your requests for information. In these situations your personal information may be passed on for the strict use of facilitating these services.
Use of our online donation service, email bulletin subscription service or mail delivery service indicates your agreement to allow Feba to pass on the necessary information in order to provide you with that service.
Refunds Policy
If you make a donation to a Feba project or ministry that has ceased, you will be given the opportunity to redirect your donation to another project.
