Team cheer for engineers, producers, listeners

Thanks to the special teamwork between engineers (who install and maintain the broadcasting equipment) and producers (who speak the programmes in the local languages), people can listen to life-changing community radio. Let’s look at recent examples in practice in southeast Africa.

Prayer Points

  • Praise God and thank him for Graham’s safe travel and for his productive use of time whilst in Beira and Maputo.
  • Pray that Feba Mozambique seeks God's wisdom as they discuss ministry strategy and budgeting, including plans for changing the schedule and language priority.
  • Pray for good equipment operation in Beira, Maputo and throughout the other FM stations in Mozambique, to withstand the rigours of frequent power fluctuations and faults.

Short wave goes where others can't

Limited by income, remote location or imposed restrictions, some people just don’t have access to many of the different media choices the rest of the world enjoys. Short wave radio can span thousands of miles, over mountains and across borders.

Prayer Points

  • Pray for good working relationships with the other broadcasters at the conference so that the negotiations will result in clear signals for everyone’s broadcasts.
  • Pray that Richard and Bob will work well together during the intense week, so they are able to address all the signal collisions that come up during the conference.
  • Pray that minimal changes will be required to the schedules so there are no significant changes for listeners. Whenever frequencies or times of the broadcasts must change, listeners have to find us all over again.

New antenna and studio upgrades for Mozambique radio

780 miles, a 22-hour journey to northern Mozambique spread over 2-days — and that’s just the beginning of the latest road trip for Feba’s Development Engineer for Africa, Graham Kimber.

Prayer Points

  • Pray for Graham’s safety while travelling, and good health throughout the trip. And pray for his family back home in Malawi.
  • Pray for Bob Bartz and Feba Mozambique staff as they discuss the budgeting and planning on the projects in Mozambique.
  • Pray for local partners such as those with AIM that God will bless their work among the hard-to-reach peoples in Mozambique.
