“Recently I’ve received many phone calls from listeners who want their voices heard through our broadcast. They feel that we can take their side against the regime," says Souheil, Feba’s Yemeni programme producer. "I explained to them that we're not a political radio; however, we understand their feelings, know how much pain and injustice they are going through and sympathise with their needs. I tell them I agree with them that change is becoming necessary, but it has to happen without violence or bloodshed. I also tell them that I pray with them for Yemen.”

From a Christian leader
Souheil interviewed a leader of peaceful demonstrations in Tahir Square in Sana’a. He is a believer and a listener to Feba radio programmes. He insists that they keep it peaceful in spite of the fact that they face the regime’s men who shoot them with live ammunition. He says: “If someone hits you on the right cheek, turn the other cheek. What Jesus taught was true courage and strength. True strength is shown when you have the ability to retaliate and kill those who killed you but you don’t!”
From a Muslim doctor
A Muslim medical doctor told Souheil in an interview that he believes that religions should not be barriers to separate people. Dr. T says: “They came out of their houses leaving weapons behind because they know that violence begets more violence and that killing begets more killing. If they present roses instead of bullets, the world will witness the peaceful revolution of the Yemeni people who own weapons!”

Yemeni programming speaking love and peace
After hosting these interviews, Souheil was in tears, overwhelmed with feelings of joy. “I couldn’t believe what I was hearing from my countrymen and women whom I know very well. I know that these concepts are new to our culture. I felt that the Spirit of Christ gave these youth strength. I feel that we’re doing very significant work on radio, presenting the teachings of Christ, speaking the language of love and peace.”
