Flood waters hit the Sindh province, fire extinguished at Feba Pakistan and listeners encouraged at annual conference… just a few stories from our ministry to listeners in Pakistan.

About 23 of Sindh's 26 districts have been affected by floods. Pray for the 4 Sindhi language broadcasts to Pakistan each week from Wednesday to Saturday. “All these programmes have different formats and are well appreciated by our audience in Sindh,” says Saleem. “Our listeners are listening regularly. Our meeting in March this year showed that our listeners are living in the areas where floods hit hard. The content of the programmes is based on the social issues and happenings in our society.”
Each week they collect stories about different incidents from newspapers, listeners and other media reports. Pray for the programme producers as they discuss practical topics and share biblical comfort to help listeners who have been affected by this year’s flooding. A listener writes: “I and my whole family listen to Feba radio programmes. Please broadcast Sindhi programmes all week.”
The fire’s out
“The upper storey of the Feba office building caught fire,” says Sammy Lyall, National Director, Feba Pakistan. “The apparent reason seems to be a power short circuit. The staff was quick enough to quench the fire. It remained only in the corridor. We thank God that none of the staff was hurt. Studio and all the rooms are safe. Thanks for your continued prayers. In the spirit of thanksgiving I am sending you this report [about the listeners’ conference].”
Listeners’ conference
The annual listeners’ conference addressed the theme: The Greatest Commandment in the Law is Love. “Participants’ response towards the teaching was positive and encouraging,” says Shamaun, Programme Producer. “They commented that this topic is the need of the time. It was a good opportunity for listeners and for staff to have fellowship with each other, and listeners spent valuable time among themselves. By the grace of God they were so blessed by the teaching. The participants had opportunity of questioning, and they actively joined in. Please keep praying for those who participated in the conference. Pray that whatever they have grasped they will ponder upon it, and it will bear fruit on appropriate time.”
From the participants…
“It was wonderful opportunity to comprehend oneness of God and the real meaning of his great love.”
“The topic is wonderful. No doubt I was away from God but after listening to the teaching on this lovely topic, I have come back to God and have accepted him with true heart.”
