Mozambique: life-changing hope – you can bring it!

"The north of Mozambique revolves around two industries, tourism and fishing,” says Bob Bartz, Feba’s man in Mozambique. “Their lives revolve around the water of the bay and their livelihood depends on it.” The north of Mozambique suffers from poverty, conflict, corruption and disease.

We have been praying for the situation in northern Mozambique. Praying for wisdom as we work out how to help followers of Jesus there to fulfil their calling to love and serve their community.

God is opening doors for Feba – and not just to launch the new FM station for Pemba-Metuge District. A plan is emerging to plant radio stations in the other districts of the province of Cabo Delgado and right across the provinces of the north.

Getting a station on air involves providing training, equipment and expertise which will empower local people to produce relevant broadcast content.
We need your support to:

  • Train and equip local people as radio producers
  • Fund the planting of stations in Cabo Delgado and beyond

Planting FM stations in this region will mean people get to hear truth – the truth about how the spread of HIV/AIDS can be prevented, facts about raising livestock and growing crops, genuine insights into corruption and how to deal with it. Crucially, it will mean that people hear the life-changing truth of Jesus.

Whatever challenges the people of the North face, seeing them through the eyes of Jesus will transform their lives. And because Jesus – ‘Isa’ to them – is considered a prophet in Islam (the majority faith there), people are open to hearing his teaching.
