A message from our CEO

It’s been a transitional year at Feba as the way in which we work evolves. We’re excited about the road ahead – and we need your prayers…

Jesus said: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' Matthew 22: 37-39

And this is our vision…

Feba’s rich, five-decade story is one we’re proud to tell. It’s been peppered with challenges, lessons and wonderful achievements, all of which will stand us in good stead.

This last year especially has been a transitional one for us.

Previously, we’ve been at the hub of all broadcasts – managing each project, bringing control, often at some distance from the communities we sought to reach.

That role has evolved, as we are compelled by our passion for the people in the communities we serve and as the world continues to change.

Enablers

We exist now to enable others to serve their own communities, in their heart language.

We work with these partners – training, mentoring and resourcing them with the necessary skills and vision to drive a project forwards for themselves. They, more than anyone, know their community and its needs. For any media project to endure, the community must want it and, in time, come to own it. We enable partners to reach out and connect with those around them.

Innovators

Our means of communication have also evolved: technology has advanced a long way in five decades. It’s touched and changed even many of the world’s hardest-to-reach communities. Today, radio doesn’t always reach. If we limit our means of communication, we’ll fail to be a presence for those who need us.

We must adapt. At Feba, that’s nothing new – innovation is part of our lifeblood. The arrival of new forms of media simply enables us to reach even more people. And we’re already using social media, SMS and websites to great effect in connecting with those in desperate need.

life.change.hope

Using media, we enable partners to promote reconciliation, sound health advice, literacy, advocacy, disaster response and dialogue. We resource and inspire them to speak the truth about God into today’s reality.

This is our vision: that followers of Jesus are enabled to serve their community; that those communities are transformed by seeing Christ’s love in action; that lives improve as development goals are met. And that new churches spring up, enabling believers to support and walk with one another in faith.

As we continue our walk with God, we seek to improve lives, inspire change and instil hope wherever we work – to break barriers, build bridges and change lives. And we’ll continue to do so, using media tailored to the needs of each individual community.

Will you join us?

Blessings,

Jonathan Frank
