We’re sad to announce the loss of a wonderful partner, Amos Pervez.
Amos, Director of Pakistan Christian Recording Ministries (PCRM) in Faisalabad, died suddenly of a heart attack late last month, aged 47. PCRM have worked closely with Feba in Pakistan since the early 1980’s.
Amos joined in 1986. We thank God for his many years of faithful service and leadership.
“I am listening to the Gaweylon programme regularly each day,” says Sonam from a Tibetan camp in south India. “Thank you for the literature you have sent me. Your health tracts and CDs are very helpful. Thank you for this valuable service for our community.”
“Just to let you know, we had an early Christmas programme celebration in Nepal on 10 December. It was held at the heart of the capital of Nepal where over 20,000 people attended,” says Vijay, FM project coordinator. “There were Christmas songs, poems, dances and the Word of God message from a pastor.” This is just one of many exciting things going on in South Asia this Christmas.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… perhaps in the West. Most of the places where Feba and its partners broadcast, Christmas is not a national holiday. In fact many Christians must celebrate this joyous occasion of Jesus Christ’s birth in the privacy of their homes.
In Malawi Christmas time is a special opportunity for local Christians (about 80% of the population) to share the exciting news of the birth of Jesus with their Yao neighbours.
We’ve all read plenty of news about the chaos in the Middle East. Thankfully Feba’s radio producers are presenting lots of news and interesting stories to encourage their listeners. Feba’s William Mateer also caught up with a former Feba Middle East programme producer at a women’s conference in Ireland.
HCJB Global and Feba UK have united in a special partnership called “OneSheep” to collaborate in providing new media skills and resources that help touch those who aren't Christians with the message of new life in Christ.
