Pray with us
FIRST RESPONSE INDIA Feba UK’s Marina Santee and Feba India’s Suma Emmanuel are developing plans for the disaster response radio project, FIRST Response, building on the workshop and trial which took place in March.
Pray for clear communications as they work on a plan to enable Feba India to respond effectively to disasters in the region.WEBSITE FOR PAKISTAN Pray for Feba’s Shamaun, local champion for the web ministry to run alongside the Along with Life programme.
He has been conducting research into the needs and interests of the planned audience, with questions in these areas: home and family, employment, community and culture, education, information and media. He is also assessing internet availability in the country as well as staff and partner’s capacity to implement a web project.LISTENER SUPPORT, FEBA INDIA Feba India broadcasts on several local outlets around India. A man contacted the team saying that he and his wife were planning to commit suicide and kill their children, because of terrible debt. However, they happened to tune into a Feba broadcast on a local station that spoke directly to their hearts. They have since asked for counselling.
Pray for wisdom for the programme producers and follow up staff as they build long term relationships with listeners. Also pray for Feba India as they plan new ministry initiatives on local media outlets.REDEMPTION FM Pray for FM 99.9 in Aweil, South Sudan that has been broadcasting in the Dinka language for 2 years. The broadcasts are a mix of Christian songs, testimonies, interviews, Bible reading, Gospel preaching and news. 4 local men produce the programmes in a one room studio.
Just the other week, school children, all dressed in matching green outfits, walked for hours to come to record a few songs. Since being on the air, it is clear that the radio station has been influential in the growth of the church here.WEB RADIO IN BANGLADESH Pray for the team working on the website for students in Bangladesh, especially as they work to put the new web design online and begin using a new tool to follow up with people by SMS, Facebook, email, web forum and phone…
“Great initiative. This is my first time here. Really enjoying this song selection. IT’S AWESOME. Thank you,” says a web user.GAWEYLON FOR TIBETANS “Over the years we have built a relationship with the monks at local monasteries,” says Anil Alfred, Director of the Gaweylon Centre. A head monk said: ‘I appreciate your programme very much. The health CDs are very useful to teach young monks the importance of keeping good hygiene.’” This head monk visited the Centre with some children. They wanted the Jesus film and the comic on the life of Jesus.
Pray that the seeds planted will bear much fruit and that they will share freely with others.UK SUPPORTER RELATIONS Pray for those working on the Support Development team as they gather ministry news from around the Feba world and communicate it in the best way to Feba supporters, using ideas from supporters’ survey results. Pray for the writing of the Hope newsletter, Prayer Diary and the upcoming Annual Review.
Also pray for those deciding how Feba can improve its use of email and other new media to keep in touch with supporters as well as help supporters feel better resourced to pray for Feba as individuals and in prayer groups.
