While continuing their regular Arabic broadcasts over short wave into the Middle East (started way back in 1971), the Feba Middle East team excitedly announces the launch of their own community FM radio station in Iraq.
The FIRST Response disaster radio team is on the ground near Padang, a city of 900,000, to assist with relief efforts following two earthquakes that devastated the capital of Sumatra. More than 700 people are confirmed dead with many more still missing.
The Feba UK board has approved a recommendation to slim down the team in Worthing. This re-organises the Worthing Office into 4 departments: International Ministry, Ministry Development, Support Development and Operations.
