Last minute difficulties continue to frustrate going on-air in Malawi (see 5 December News brief). Differences in the way the actual broadcast licence conditions are being interpreted by MACRA, the licensing authority in Malawi, and the project partners, have prevented us from beginning transmissions. Urgent negotiations have been taking place this week in Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi.

What better way to start off the New Year than for staff to break from normal work activity and join together in a special Feba UK Staff Day of Prayer as happened on 6 January. “The day was fantastic,” says Jacqui Marshall, HR Officer. “It really refreshed and energised my prayer life, giving me new ideas.”
